My selfies at Smaash
When I was invited to try out the many entertaining games at newly opened Smaash, I could not say a no. I am an adventure sports enthusiast be it virtual or real. This world class Sports and Entertainment zone is a new attraction at the DLF Mall of India, Sector 18, Noida.

I was accompanied by fellow travel bloggers and we tried many sporting, though hooked to the virtual reality games. Our unanimous favourite was the roller coaster ride which seats 4 at a time. It gave us the thrill of a real roller coaster. We liked it so much that we tried it two times. For those few minutes reality was suspended and I felt like my body is actually going through all the ups and downs on a huge roller coaster.

Next up was magic carpet where two people can stand at a time. We literally felt as if we have stepped on a carpet which takes us through valley, jungles and what not.

The virtual ATV ride was equally fun. It seats one at a time and gave us the thrill of passing through virtual landscapes. The landscapes were so beautiful I wished that it existed for real. Only virtual games can give one the thrill of banging my head in huge rocks and still come back unscathed.
There is also a bowling alley where one can let his/her hair down. I enjoyed nibbling on the many innovative recipes at their in house café called Mighty Small. The special ‘Makhani Fondue’ was one of its kind where one could dip bread squares and Mediterranean lavash crackers in the special desi fondue. The mezze platter comprised of pita bread, hummus, baba ganoush and pickled veggies and was done perfectly. The pudding though nice was too heavy for one person. The apple and cinnamon iced tea was innovative but could have been better. The spinach and chickpeas salad was tasty and low on calories. A good choice if you are watching weight. The popcorn was good though it could have done better with lesser butter.
The ambiance is lively. The service is polite though can be a bit slow on busy days. The best part is you can order the food and eat at gaming zones such as the bowling area, thanks to its grab-and-go concept.

I liked the way some dishes were presented on tennis rackets. The menu is wide and one can choose from Indian/Italian/Chinese/Mediterranean the works! Interestingly, One could also order favourite dishes of sports stars such as Sachin’s favourite – ‘Chakhna salad’. In fact sports legends like Sachin Tendulkar, Virat Kohli and Cristiano Ronaldo, are associated with Smaaash. I have been a cocktail bar and a sweet treat bar for kids is in the pipeline.

I found the games highly entertaining and yet reasonably priced. This place is suitable to come with family, friends, kids and even parents. It’s a wholesome package and there is so much to do under one roof.
