Here is a detailed 5 days long itinerary for Meghalaya. During my 3 months long trip to several states in the remote North East of India, I travelled extensively in Meghalaya. I explored many exciting places of interest in Meghalaya on a solo trip and totally enjoyed the experience. But planning a Meghalaya trip for your close ones is a different game altogether.

For my close friend’s 10th wedding anniversary, I wanted to give them a special surprise. Day 1 in Meghalaya

And so…the trip begins

My friend’s first day of the trip was a smooth transfer to Shillong, where they were set up in a beautiful hotel. I kept checking in with my parents, and they couldn’t stop talking about the picturesque views during their drive.

She told me the trek was tough but worth every step. Honestly, by then, I started leaving my worries behind.

Day 4 and 5 in Meghalaya

On day 4 and on day 5, they were taken to Dawki and Krang Shuri Waterfalls and Laitlum Canyon. They said it was one of the most peaceful boat rides they had ever taken. From Dawki, they moved on to Mawlynnong, the cleanest village in Asia.  My friend called me from Krang Shuri, saying they felt like they were in a dream. They even took a dip in the cool blue waters.
