AVANI PATTAYA RESORT AND SPA- WHERE TO STAY IN PATTAYA, AMAZING THAILAND!
Centrally located Avani Pattaya Resort and Spa is a great choice for affordable luxury. I enjoyed staying here during my Thailand trip. The property is huge and has many rooms to choose from. The sprawling property has something for everyone and is suitable for families, singles and young couples alike. Below is my review based upon my stay.
LOCATION OF AVANI PATTAYA RESORT AND SPA MAKES IT A WINNER!
What made me the most happy to stay at Avani Pattaya Resort and Spa was its brilliant location. It is located at a walking distance from the beach, markets, shopping malls, restaurants and the famous ‘Walking Street’. Just as I exit the hotel, I found myself in streets filled with, as we Indians say, ‘raunak’ (vibrancy). Scores of Indian restaurants, food trucks, grocery stores, seven elevens, pubs, cafes, shops inundated the streets. These and the massage parlours offering head and leg massages stay open as late as till 3 a.m.
Travelling in a new country means you are always unsure about how to reach different points of interest and if the cab driver is charging you the right fare? Imagine, how hassle free the vacation can be if all that you wanted to see was at walking distance from each other! Even some water parks like Cartoon Network water park and Ramayana water park is a quick cab ride away. It is thus wise to stay at Avani Pattaya Resort and Spa. Even if you are tired from exploring Pattaya, you can keep coming back to the hotel to relax a bit. What’s more? You can party till wee hours without having to worry how you will return to the hotel.
ROOMS OF AVANI PATTAYA RESORT AND SPA
The room that I stayed in was very comfortable and spacious. The usual suspects like iron, bathrobe, locker were present in the wardrobe. The writing table was impressive. It was large and helped me complete some writing assignment in comfort. I need lot of space to keep my Laptop, battery, chargers, wires, mobile phone, DSLR cameras (hey are big), SD cards and other electronic devices when I am working. Thankfully, they had given a multiple pin charger facility right at the desk. This helped me in multitasking with ease. The sockets were same as that of my country India, so I did not need to use the international multiple pin. The rack next to the writing table helped me keep m luggage and rearrange it neatly before check out.
The beds were large and comfortable with multiple pillows for option. Night lamps were given on the side tables at both the end. Air conditioning was done just right. The phone next to the bed had clealy mentioned the extension numbers of different departments. They had free wi-fi. There was a small balcony attached to my room. Some balconies have great views, however mine did not offer much of a view. And oh, they gifted me with a cool white shirt as a return gift. It was neatly packed on the bed.
FOOD AT AVANI PATTAYA RESORT AND SPA
I had availed their breakfast and dinner buffets. Being a strict vegetarian, I am always cautious of my food choices when in a new country. I was happy that I didn’t have to fret much over the food here. I was delighted to see Indian puri sabzi and chola bhatura on one day at the breakfast. Breakfast offered wide variety of fruits, breads, juices etc. But the dinner at Avani was what I always looked forward to. Thanks to their in house Indian chef, we requested yellow dal and dal makhani (Both Indian lentil dishes)apart from the buffet food (steamed rice and delicious aaloo-jeera). It was our best dinner during the entire Thailand trip. The aaloo jeera (Potato crisp fried in cumin seeds) was so good, I ended up making a mountain of it on my plate! The yellow dal was finished in no time.
SERVICE AT AVANI PATTAYA RESORT AND SPA
I was mighty impressed with the service at the property. There was an incident when I had misplaced my room key in the midnight. I was instantly issued a new key, no questions asked! The staff was equally good at answering my queries over the call. Same goes for my other interactions with the staff. Their approach to problems is quick and effective despite a heavy occupancy during my stay. I am sure I am going to stay here again the next time I am in Pattaya.
