If you read my blog regularly, you already know that my last few international trips were to Australia, Jordan, cruise from Dubai to India, Nepal and Bhutan  I was traveling to Canberra in Australia (and also Melbourne and Sydney) for ten days, and I wanted a relaxed holiday. So, I was busy with work as usual. Travel blogging is amazing but not easy. I completely forgot about getting the Australian Dollars. A few hours before my flight, my friend asked me how many Australian Dollars I was carrying. It was then when I realised, that I had forgotten about the exchange. But, Nafex came to my rescue and here are the top 10 reason why you must buy your Forex from Nafex.

Most, money changers put boards saying “Todays rate is…” but, Nafex has real-time bids and the rates keep changing real-time.

This was the feature that I loved the most. They had an option of reverse bidding and they allowed me to set a reminder if I have made a bid and the rates turn in my favour.

  3. Very attractive features. Particularly the free pickup and 24/7 customer support are really the winners for me. They would really help make the forex experience so much smoother and hassle free. Will go with NAFEX next time I need to do a forex before traveling overseas.

  4. Foreign exchange is an important component that one needs to factor in when traveling. Usually we end up losing significant money in conversion. NAFEX looks like a good option here as it gives the best rates. The other important aspect is that you can order online and get it delivered, which is so very convenient.

  5. I like this service for a lot of reasons. For one, you can freeze the rates and that way you can even reduce the risk of high fluctuations. The. free pick up helps save time, especially if you are in for a sudden trip. Though I am not sure if INR 50K would be something i am willing to exchange. I might take a forex card in that case. Well reviewed Abhinav

  6. Dealing with foreign currencies while abroad is quite the headache, I agree. I have noticed, however, that countries that do have money exchange businesses, the best rates are on the ground in the place you’re visiting. The only way to compare, and decide where to take your business, you do need to browse online, and then go to the right place. Calling them to freeze the rate is also a good idea.

  7. I’m based in the UK and I usually find the best deal for me for foreign currency is to use my credit card for payment when I can (having selected one that doesn’t charge a commission or fee per use overseas) and using a debit card for cash withdrawals from ATMs. The rate of exchange offered by my banks always beats the rates by any forex options available to me. I have not come across Nafex though, looks like it’s a good option for those travelling from India?

  8. great financial travel info here. good to know that exchange rates an be done so easily anywhere. this is always if not always a concern for travellers and nomads indeed.

  9. Thank you for this informative post! I had not heard of Nafex but it seems so useful with its convenient service. I am traveling quite easily and I can see how it can be beneficial to my future travels.

  10. thats quite some awesome information laid down in very simple terms. i always thought it was very complicated for me to understand but thank you for such simple detailing.

  11. It’s great that they offer better rates than the banks. Normally there is no beating the banks, so I’m glad to see someone can. Also no hidden fees when exchanging money All round win-win situation.

  12. And here I was thinking that you could only get Forex by going to banks ! Thanks for sharing Abhinav …really informative .What about Forex cards ?

    1. Glad that I could help you understand it better. Prepaid forex cards and remittances are available through Nafex. The differentiating factor is that live bidding is also applicable to prepaid forex cards and remittances, so you save on the fluctuating forex rates and make remittances to hotels etc that you book in advance through the Nafex site.

  13. Sorry for my ignorance, whould like to knowfrom where do you get the money for these widespread travelling?Your own?

    1. Hi Laboni. Many readers ask me that. I will soon write a blog on How I find my travels. For now let me tell you my travels are a mix of self funded trips and sponsored trips. More details will be shared in a big blog soon. Cheers

    2. I always find this kind of questions very strange. Would you approach those people in the street wearing high cost clothing, or driving a high end car, or living in a bigger house where they get the money for their spending, or would you simply accept that people have different incomes? Of course, in blogging, there is often content that arises from press trips or is otherwise sponsored by a brand, and the good bloggers will always declare this within the relevant post, which you can read if you are so inclined to find it. Such trips aren’t exactly “free” though, since the creation and subsequent marketing of content is often several days of work!
